Exam Success
Preparation is key
Enrolling for the examination necessitates no obligatory enrollment in a particular language institution or preparatory program, nor is it mandatory to possess a lower-level certificate. The examination, in its entirety, can be attempted multiple times as required. Nonetheless, we strongly advise engaging in a preparatory course offered at the test venue. This will equip you with essential linguistic and exam-specific proficiencies, augmenting your potential for success in the assessment.
Each respective exam level’s description elucidates the proficiencies you’ll be capable of showcasing upon successful completion of the exam.
Zertifikat Deutsch (ZD)
The Zertifikat Deutsch (ZD) examination assesses proficiency in the German language. This assessment covers a spectrum ranging from A1 to C2, accommodating both novice and proficient speakers. Successfully clearing the Goethe – Zertifikat C2 examination unlocks the eligibility to pursue studies at a German university.
TestDaF Exam
This assessment is intended for individuals aiming to enroll in a German university where English is not the primary mode of communication and teaching. In this scenario, one must successfully complete either the TestDaF or DSH, two recognized German language proficiency exams.
DSH Exam
For international candidates seeking admission to German universities, the Language Proficiency Examination for University Entry becomes crucial. Unlike the standardized TestDaF, the DSH test's structure fluctuates across universities that administer it. It's worth noting that the examination format mirrors that of TestDaF.
